Our Supermicro MicroCloud modular server systems provide the high density, performance, efficiency and cost effectiveness required for today’s demanding server deployments. The 24/12/8 modular server nodes are conveniently integrated into a compact 3U chassis that is less than 30 inches deep, saving over 76% of rack space when compared to traditional 1U servers. The cable-less, hot-pluggable server nodes operate independently. Each node provides up to Up to 128GB DDR4-2133/1866/1600MHz of ECC Unbuffered DIMM or 128GB RDIMM / 256GB LRDIMM / 512GB LRDIMM ECC DDR4 memory, one PCI-E 3.0 x8 expansion slot for low-profile add-on card, and 2x 2.5” NVMe, 2x 3.5”, or 4x 2.5” HDDs. The MicroCloud system utilizes redundant Titanium Level (96%) high-efficiency power supplies and sophisticated cooling zone controls for a Green energy profile. Each node is powered by the latest Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1200 v5 (up to 80W) or Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2600 v4/v3 (up to 145W) or Intel® Xeon® processor D (45W) product families.

How are blade systems configured?

A blade system consists of a housing (enclosure) and several server modules. Blade enclosures offer various expansion options such as Central Management Modules, Switch Modules and Power Supply Modules and can be equipped with 10 to 28 Blade Modules. Blade modules are configured like individual servers with processors, memory, HDDs, SSDs, software and services. Since in many cases groups of nodes are configured in the same way, quantities can be specified for configured individual sheets. After each completed configuration of an individual node or an identically configured node group, place them in the shopping cart.

  1. First select a suitable blade type:

    • MicroBlade - Powerful, extremely flexible 6U all-in-one system of extreme density, supports 28 hot-swap microblade modules (28x Xeon dual processor, Intel E5-2600 v3, systems with up to 2 HDD/SSDs and a SATA DOM, best suited for data center and cloud applications)

    • SuperBlade - Includes TwinBlades, OfficeBlades and DatacenterBlades

      • TwinBlade - The industry's most advanced, energy-efficient blade system, unsurpassed density of 0.35U per dual-processor node, N+1 redundancy and 2500W and 3000W power supplies (94% efficiency). Up to two 4x FDR (56Gbps) InfiniBand switches, up to two 1/10GbE or 10GbE switches and/or one 1GbE pass-through module

      • OfficeBlade - Optimized for small and medium business and personal HPC applications. Acoustically improved cooling technology allows OfficeBlade® systems to operate at 50 dB or below with 10 dual-processor server blades

      • DatacenterBlade - Perfect for Data Center and High Performance Computing (HPC) applications, with performance and density optimization

    • Microcloud - Optimal for web hosting and cloud computing, with 8 to 24 full-fledged servers in a 3U

  2. Next, select and configure the most suitable blade enclosure for the selected blade type and place it in the shopping cart

  3. Then select and configure one suitable blade module after the other and place it in the shopping cart after each completed configuration. You can add the desired quantity to equally configured blade modules and also select and configure additional or identical blade modules several times. Make sure that the number of configured modules does not exceed the permissible number of blade modules of the enclosure
