ILA Berlin 2026 RecapScalable HPC and AI solutions for the aviation industry

From 10 to 14 June, we were present at the ILA Berlin. At the joint stand in Hall B (Stand 140), we discussed the requirements for modern computing infrastructures together with NVIDIA, Gigabyte and BEST Systeme. In direct discussions with representatives from research, industry and defence, the focus was on how high-performance IT architectures can be integrated into highly complex environments in order to efficiently solve current technological challenges.

Recap: ILA 2026Focus on scalability and performance

For us, the ILA Berlin served as a barometer for the demand for high-availability computing power. During the technical discussions at our stand, it became clear that the demand for dedicated computing power in day-to-day work is rising dramatically. Our customers are not looking for off-the-shelf solutions, but rather architectures that can scale in line with growing AI workloads – from edge applications to HPC clusters.

A key technical highlight was the presentation of the NVIDIA switch for the Pegasus project by our partners at BEST Systeme. This project exemplifies our approach: integrating state-of-the-art components into a complete system that meets highly specialised requirements.

The ILA has clearly demonstrated one thing: the era of experimentation is over. What is needed are robust, vendor-neutral architectures that perform in demanding scenarios. As sysGen, we are positioned precisely there – at the interface between NVIDIA technology and Gigabyte hardware – to make projects like these a reality.

The systems on display provided a direct response to the increased demands for computing power:

• NVIDIA DGX Spark: Brings Blackwell-powered supercomputing directly into the workplace. It enables teams to accelerate AI workflows without having to rely on external cloud infrastructure.

• Gigabyte W775-V10-L01: Our AI workstation featuring the NVIDIA GB300 Grace™ Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. It delivers the performance engineers need for complex real-time simulations.

• Gigabyte G893-SD1-AAX5: Designed for HPC and AI workloads. Based on 5th/4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and equipped with 8x NVIDIA HGX™ B200 GPUs, this server forms the foundation for large-scale data centres.
