What good are the fastest computers if the data to be processed cannot pass the "bottleneck" fast enough. They don't perform at full capacity, generate high operating costs and can set you back in performance-oriented competition. Are you aware that conventional data controllers only get a maximum of 10 to 20% of the possible read speed of SSDs? A disaster for data-driven companies that is easily avoidable. We will show you how to get the full performance, in terms of speed, out of your data storage devices and why using powerful storage hardware and software is a significant competitive advantage.
Data-driven organizations need to increase data throughput so they can leverage the full power of compute servers. With GRAID technology, you can harness 100% of the performance possible and eliminate the bottleneck that severely degrades the performance of your IT infrastructure.

GRAID SupremeRAID™ eliminates the traditional RAID bottleneck to unlock the full potential of your SSD performance. Introducing the world's fastest NVMe and NVMeoF RAID cards for PCIe Gen 3 and 4, delivering superior NVMe/NVMeoF, SAS and SATA performance while increasing scalability and flexibility and lowering total cost of ownership (TCO). A single SupremeRAID™ card achieves 19M IOPS, 110GB/s performance and supports up to 32 native NVMe drives.
While traditional RAID technology has become the bottleneck of SSD hard drives, GRAID Technology has developed a breakthrough software and hardware solution to eliminate the performance bottleneck of RAID protection for SSDs.
GRAID SupremeRAID is integrated into the system as a PCIe device using a virtual NVMe controller installed on the operating system. It is equipped with a powerful AI processor to process all RAID operations of the virtual NVMe controller.
Hardware RAID controllers or software RAID solutions are used to protect data in the event of a hard disk failure. In the era of conventional hard disks, a simple ASIC hardware chip on a RAID card could fully handle all input/output (I/O) operations, even with SAS hard disks the maximum performance was around 200 IOPS at a transfer rate of 150 MB/s.
GRAID's international team of engineers and developers have succeeded in overcoming the current limitations of high performance data protection. The main challenge lies in the data bottleneck of traditional RAID solutions. On average, basic software delivers only 10 to 14 percent of SSD performance, consuming almost all CPU processing power. Flash storage performance is evolving too quickly to be fully exploited by existing storage architectures that use proprietary hardware systems. While these achieve better performance, they cannot fully exploit the potential of flash storage, so there is little or no return on investment in NVMe SSDs.
With read and write speeds orders of magnitude faster with SSD and NVMe, traditional RAID has become a bottleneck. GRAID Technology's latest development in GPU-accelerated RAID performs RAID parity calculations, freeing up CPU resources and delivering record-breaking NVMe-SSD & NVMe-oF performance without sacrifice.
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) technology is used in various computer/storage systems with a large number of hard disks. With the introduction of SSDs (Solid-State Drives).transfer rates of up to 1 million I/Os per second with a transfer rate of up to 7 GB/s are not uncommon for a single NVMe SSD in today's SSD era. This massive performance increase that SSDs offer cannot be handled by today's software RAID solutions. This leads to a performance bottleneck for the entire storage system.

Give your IT performance a boost

a single SupremeRAID™ SR1010 card can easily manage 32 direct-attached NVMe SSDs, and because it is based on NVMe-oF, there is no loss in network performance. SupremeRAID™ offloads RAID from the CPU, providing strong and reliable data protection without the associated complexity and performance costs of most current solutions.

"RAID data protection is a critical element in protecting valuable data assets, but traditional RAID implementations have not realized the full performance potential of enterprise solid-state drives," said recent Jay Kramer, Chairman of the FMS 2022 awards program, and is proud to present GRAID Tech with the "Best of Show Award" for its SupremeRAID™ storage solution, which protects both direct-attached SSDs and NVMeoF-attached SSDs and delivers 100 percent of available SSD performance with a single SupremeRAID™ card. It can deliver up to 19 million IOPS and 110 GB/s of bandwidth. GRAID SupremeRAID™ technology is sure to quickly become the data protection solution of choice for data centers around the world. The innovative solution provides the speed, flexibility and unmatched total cost of ownership that the market demands for future high-performance workloads in modern data centers.

Briefly explained

SupremeRAID™ is based on an NVIDIA T1000 or NVIDIA A2000 GPU and is integrated into the operating system as a virtual NVMe controller. All RAID operations are calculated by the GPU, so there is no load on the CPU. All drives used for RAID are directly connected to the system. RAID can be achieved in terms of IOPS, data throughput, latency and availability by removing bottlenecks from the CPU (software RAID) or the hardware RAID controller (up to 16 PCIe lanes/4 drives).

Supermicro & GIGABYTE servers in combination with GRAID SupremeRAID™

Solutions that deliver 100% NVMe SSD performance
without compromising data protection or business continuity

GRAID SupremeRAID™ is the highest performance, high-speed data protection solution designed specifically for NVMe SSDs. Test results show that the performance of different workloads can be met by the performance of different configurations. A RAID-5 group of 3 CM6-R SSDs designed for database and OLAP use cases can achieve 4671K IOPS random reads and 765K IOPS random writes and maintain extremely low latency. Even if an SSD hard drive is damaged, it can still perform more than one million random reads and writes, which does not affect the application performance in any way. A RAID-5 group consisting of 20 CM6-R SSDs can provide extremely high usable storage. With 91 GiB/s sequential read and 7 GiB/s sequential write, it is a perfect solution for applications that require read throughput, such as AI training, Big Data analytics, etc. Finally, a RAID-10 group consisting of 20 CM6-R SSDs can provide 104 GiB/s sequential read and 30 GiB/s sequential write, which is nearly eight times the performance of a traditional hardware RAID card. If an SSD is damaged, it can still maintain a very high bandwidth and complete data recovery in a very short time
